It's hot outside, fight back with some great patios and a cold beer, margarita or chilled rose. Here's our list...

HG Sply Co

The view from HG Sply Co.'s third-story rooftop is the best in Lower Greenville. Very limited menu available on the rooftop; consider it a drinks and appetizers place only.

2008 Greenville Ave., Dallas. 469-334-0896

Trinity Groves

If the weather permits, pick your favorite restaurant and ask to sit outside - pretty much every restaurant has outdoor seating options. You'll be surrounded by tourists and Dallas regulars.

3011 Gulden Lane, Dallas. Click here for a map of all the restaurants.

Katy Trail Ice House

It's hard to go wrong at Katy Trail Ice House. Bring your dog and your friends; you're destined to meet some fun people.

3127 Routh St., Dallas. 214-468-0600

Rodeo Goat

Among the boutiques and construction in Dallas’ Design District sits an unassuming cinderblock oasis with solid food and a relaxing view. Burger joint Rodeo Goat has garage door-windows that open up to a spacious patio that spans three sides of the restaurant.

1926 Market Center Blvd., Dallas. 214-741-4628

Pecan Lodge

One of Dallas' best barbecue restaurants is definitely a restaurant first, patio second. But don't discount it on pleasant days: It's often packed with meat-loving people jamming to live music.

2702 Main St., Dallas. 214-748-8900

The Woolworth

If you’re big on ambiance, the Woolworth in downtown Dallas is a must-try. Located on the second story of a historic 1913 building, the bar/restaurant patio overlooks the 30-foot-tall Eye installation.  Pretty cool joint as far as we're concerned.

1520 Elm St., Dallas. 214-814-0588

Canne Rosso White Rock

Cane Rosso White Rock isn’t the type of patio where you’ll catch rays, and that's OK; the wine's abundant and the pizza's hot.  Plus, it’s walking distance to the lake trails if you feel the need to work off a couple of calories.

7328 Gaston Ave., Dallas. 214-660-3644

Cibo Divino

The indoor-outdoor wine bar at this new market in West Dallas boats some of the best seats in the neighborhood.  It's kind of a gourmet grocery store and happy place for foodies.

1868 Sylvan Ave., Suite D100, Dallas. 214-653-2426

Truck Yard

We love this place, a lot.  If you've ever lived in Austin (and most of us have spent some great years down there) then you'll feel right at home here.  It's probably our favorite because of it's nostalgic quality...and the cheese steaks are awesome.

5624 Sears St, Dallas, TX 75206.  469.500-0139

Lakewood Landing

We love this place a lot, too.  Let's be totally honest though.  The patio sucks.  That's fine, it's still on the list for the same reason as Truck Yard.  It's an awesome vibe filled with the right kind of mojo.

4334, 5818 Live Oak St, Dallas, TX 75214 (214) 823-2410  No website.  Perfect.
