It’s no secret that craft beer has taken the nation by storm. Where, in the past, folks were content with mass produced beer that they could buy cheap and drink anywhere, these days, beer drinkers love high quality, exclusive beer, brewed locally and by experts.

Luckily, if you live in the DFW area, craft breweries are essentially around every corner. Most of them offer tours to allow locals and tourists alike the opportunity to sample their beers at a cheap price, and take home their favorites. Whether you’re the most educated of beer lovers or are just jumping into the craft beer scene, you don’t want to miss these craft breweries.

1) Grapevine Craft Brewery

Where “craft is their middle name” and community is just as important as brewing incredible beer, Grapevine Craft Brewery aims to brew beers that are approachable, and clean, that anyone will enjoy. Their taproom and beer garden is open 7 days a week, with options as affordable as $2.

2) Peticolas Brewing Company

This family owned brewery in Dallas focuses on down to earth, expertly crafted beers. You can tour their brewery on the first and third Saturday of each month, or visit their taproom on Thursday-Friday from 4 PM-10 PM, with varying hours on the weekend.

3) Deep Ellum Brewing Company

Deep Ellum brewery has had enough of bad beer. They’re out to set the standard for craft beer, both in Dallas and across the US. For a fun, unique experience, visit their taproom from 11 AM-10 PM Monday-Thursday, or go to one of their open houses every Saturday from 12 PM - 3 PM. Tickets for the open house are $12 online or $15 at the door and includes three beers, a glass, and live music.
