How to use this list

First, as you can see -- and these comments might help you too -- I’ve long been on the hunt for elite Metroplex tacos. I posted about it on Facebook once, which resides here:

OK, so feel free to browse those comments.

Now, moving forward -- we are fully of the belief that you should go experience these tacos yourself, so we’re not going to put lots of flowery language after each linked place. We’re just going to encourage you to spend some free time investigating. Maybe make an entire day of it. You’ve done weirder. (Binging Stranger Things in a single day, maybe.)

This will be broken down by geo for North Dallas areas, so that might help you concentrate on certain areas if you’re hitting a concert, seeing friends, etc. We will be doing other areas in future posts and linking back to this one.

What does this have to do with renting apartments?

Nothing and yet everything.

Taco-adjacent probably won’t be the No. 1 criteria when selecting a lease, and it probably shouldn’t be. So while it’s not a “need-to-have,” no, it’s definitely a “nice-to-have,” whether that’s for a random bad day at work, a random weekend morning, a hangover, or just the need to indulge in one of the greatest things we have on the food spectrum.

If you check out some of these taco joints and find one that you really like, definitely mention that to us in an apartment search process. We can try to get you nearby, or at least within decent walking distance (to go burn it off on the walk back).

We’ll start with Plano.
